How to cope up with the anxiety in the IT industry?

I am a Java developer. I should admit I am a bit pessimistic and I feel like my future is not secure in IT. There is no job security. The current company is just squeezing more work out of us without giving any hike from the past few years. I feel that I should be prepared and I should switch, but the market is too dramatic these days. Layoffs can happen anytime anywhere. I feel you become more vulnerable when you join a new company you don't have much to showcase what you have done in the past. I also feel that AI/ML integrations everywhere is going to reduce head count in the companies. So opportunities will be less and the competition will be sky high. All together you are never going to live peacefully in this industry. You will always be vulnerable to new tech and layoffs. Can someone show the good side of it?

If you have interest in tech work and have got some good quality work (satisfying enough) to do in your current job, then you won’t worry about these things. Otherwise, people just get frustrated and leave. It has always been the situation, hardly anything about AI BI CI. My friend had cribbed and left IT jobs and joined Govt Bank 8-9 yrs back due to n number of IT issues.

No. I just have 4 years of work experience. I had a few things to take care of at home and education loans. So I could not save much.

Just go with the flow by giving your best and also look for second source of income meantime.
