how soon is too soon to leave a company?

context: i’ve recently completed 3 months at a company, and thinking of switching already. Prior to this, i was at a fintech startup for 3 years

run asap if you don’t see a future
leaving would be the worst mistake ever

You shall be keeping record of how long you stay in a place, the more you change job , you shall work longer, for example, 1st job 3 years, 2nd job 7 years, 3rd job 13 years, you see it is growng exponentially ,

So try to do a minimum of 6 months, and you can explain problem with current company in your next interview.

Otherwise people think that you will switch your next job too.

If you are getting a better opportunity you can switch, but i would suggest leave this 3 months experience out of your CV.

i mean, i’d have completed 6 months by the time i resign & serve my notice. would you still recommend leaving this out?

In that case there is no point in leaving this out, because then you'd have to explain the gap.... So might as well count in YOE, but be ready to explain why you left!. Good luck

Just leave. Know how to sell your story of why you moved from one company to next. That's all you need. Show middle finger to all the companies who doubt or question you spending so less time at a company.

There’s rarely a right a wrong answer to a question like this. You’ve been dealt some cards and the best you can do is play those cards the best you can. If you move, don’t look back. If you stay, give it your 100%.

There is no such thing as too soon ! Always look out for the opportunities that you think would be right for you.

If you have really strong reasons then you can switch.

But you will have to be mindful to select the next company very carefully as you will have to spend at least a year or two before switching from that.
