How much salary is considered good in IT

My salary is lowest in my friends circle, but highest in the family(cousins). When I am being with friends i feel like I earn less but the opposite of family.

6LPA is good salary for 1 YOE if you are not from tier 1 college. You should stop talking about salary with your friends or cousins.

Bhai ye race kabhi end nh hone wali... Even if your package goes to 4-5x of what it is over a period of time, you will still have folks earning more than you... Best is to be happy with what you earn and upskill/strive to become a better engineer

Bro during placements, I used to envy all those who placed in day 0-1 and when I got placed with a great package, I started envying those who got placed in startups where they'll have more ownership but might be paid less. This is just a perpetual cycle of sadness :((
