How do you work with a boss that is far away from the ground reality?

If you have an idea that you firmly believe can work, have an agency/vendor that can understand and stand by your vision. Most of the far-from-reality leaders (those stubborn 45+ guys, at least from my past experience) believe only when shit is told to them by an agency and not by an internal employee or their own reportee. If I'm sure my boss won't listen I just talk to my vendor and I get things done. My way. No point arguing with someone who wants to be blind.
