How do I get release from a project where I am not interested in the technology they are working on?

To be honest, I'm trying to get released since 1 year. Management won't co-operate with you in this case. They want to retain their members no matter what. So either drop your resignation or stop doing your work and don't provide any output. That's the only way to get released.

Do anything to get out of it, I ruined my career because of the same problem.. Management only cares about their profits..

List down everything that's concerns you in an email. Send it to your mgr, keep HR and skip manager in copy.

They won't reply don't worry.

Set meetings on calendar with all these people. They won't attend dpnt worry. Follow up. Be cool. Repeat. Be professional. Be polite. Don't panic. If they don't take any action after 1 month, then switch to other company.

If u want release. Start sending emails to the manager weekly. Bug him so many times that he gets to release you. This always works. All this has to be professionally done. Ask them to give a release date over email. Not verbal communication.

Prepare yourself and switch.. Even after getting released the chance of getting desired technology/project is negligible.

Best Solution to get Release:

Option 1: Request your Manager and tell him why you were not interested in the Account through emails and chat keeping the proofs for couple of Months. If it works fine...Good.

Else

Option 2: Stop doing work. Don't respond to emails or don't complete your work. Take Sick Leaves during important Releases. He should know why you were doing all this. He will come down.
If he escalates, You will have your complete proofs as said in option 1.

I think some will give you release, idk which area you are but for me when i asked over mail they gave me release.
