Its not about allowing, its just taking the first name.

For this use-case, let's say the person's name is "K Srinivas"

Here K might be his father's name, so in order to show respect they just keep the initial letter along with their name and this is way too much common in South India

I guess first name would have been captured here. Usually South indians have different nomenclature of naming these and name would be as pe aadhar details. Correct me if im wrong
