Hot tea from a remote first employee friendly startup.
So this tea comes from trusted inside sources a remote first employee friendly startup which may or may not be headquartered in Bangalore.
The CEO has been known to experiment a lot, inside sources say that employees have also called out and questioned some of the experiments which have failed terribly. Experiment includes building an entire app, spending money on it in the name of "finding a good product market fit" and then selling it in a hope someone will buy at a higher cost than it's development (which is impossible since it takes at least an year for an app to be selling ready)
Recently this CEO decided to "write a book" (the book is written by an employee of this company in his name and from his perspective). Now this book is being distributed to CEOs and CHROs with his signature on it 😂.
The book is mostly about how they run their own company, I don't know why someone would be interested in reading that since it's a very average small sized company. People are doing far greater things than this startup.
I also heard that the new employees are being asked to purchase the book as a part of the onboarding process and then they reimburse this cost back to them.
