Hired as fresher not assigning Project saying that clients are asking for experienced people

I got selected in hcl as Technical lead I am fresher. They i assigning mentor and KT sessions from 6 months and whenever I asked my RM when I will be deployed to project answer is you are fresher and clients are asking for experienced people and also they told me that my client interview is going to happen but not giving any dates.
