Applied via friends this time. They were much more aware of the positions available at their companies.
I played it smart and got on bench. Then refused to take on anymore projects and asked for an early release. It was a pain but in the end they allowed it.

I’m in a similar situation almost a year of experience in which and I wanna switch. I’ve been upskilling in data engineering, created an etl pipeline with a streamlit visualisation page and have also used containerization tools like docker.
