Freelancing in India

I’m curious to know from the freelancing community in here about their journey and how freelancing has been for them. I’m also trying to understand the challenges they are/were facing working with clients in India and what platforms they often go to to look for freelance work.

I’ve been freelancing for 1.5 years now, and I focus mainly on 2 things to get leads:

  • Cold emails to prospective clients
  • Build personal brand on LinkedIn

I prefer the latter cause my e-mail skills are subpar lol. The main challenge w Indian clients is 💸💸 which is why you gotta look out for work w international clients.

As for the journey, it’s been great, made 6 figures within a few months itself which is totally possible if you avoid the 10ppw client crowd

I’m assuming you’re a content writer since you mentioned 10ppw. Please correct me if I’m wrong.
