Former JEE Topper disses 17 year old
Hot take: IITians are nothing but a cesspool of entitled bunch who think they are elite. An outdated classist notion of them being successful, whoever filters on the IIT tag will lead their company to utter annihilation.

He won’t tell you that he was studying for this exam since 5-6th grade 😂 (usually the case with most AIR 1s)

Most jee toppers would still score close if they didn’t start studying in 5th/6th. Most students who start at 5th/6th don’t get in anyway. It’s a skill thing at the end of the day, which is why non selection hurts so much more.
You can make up part of your ability w hard work, but dunkin on someone skilled cos he also put in the hard work is a brain dead take.

It’s repetitive question solving at the end of the day, which means if you get more time, you get better at it since you practice more.
I know this, because I have done this, no skill issue here. 🫡

Eh ..... you get all sorts of people everywhere. Thats shitty of him to do. But I bet if you take a statistical distribution across India of people like that it would be close to what you would find at IIT or as a matter of fact most of the places.
PS: I am from IIT

As in where I am from ?
I am from IIT Delhi, though not sure how that helps

Hmm okay so if I am not a JEE topper I couldn't comment on the BS, strange.
I told I am from IIT because the first line of the post generalises IITians and based on my comment I thought it would make sense how I know what the actual people in IIT are like.
PS: IIT Delhi EE. Please don't ask for more credibility.

So on what basis should the company apply filters? Go thru 100k application one by one? Prefer tier 3 students over iitian? Op is a jealous idiot

Keep a test no? Like are IITians scared of a skill test? A hiring challenge seems like a decent solution. Anyone who passes it has potential, IIT or not.

Which company is hiring without any test? The real issue is their tests are too easy so a huge chunk of applicants end scoring 100%, that's why they need a filter

This is literally too trippy. This guy was once kinda good and now he has become insane.

No way the kid is studying that much

Making a fool out of his dad.

I've seen IIT toppers and they are a different breed, you cannot compare them with normal people, you can't get in top 500 with just hardwork.
He's being an ass, but again He's not wrong, even i didn't study this much, and had a burnout and that affected my 4 years in college!

What species do they belong to ? Asking for my own GK 🙃

Why defame a college because one of them said something that many disagree with? This is typical generalization and stereotyping.

Because OP could not get in

He is being an ass. But he is also not wrong. This much studying shouldn’t be necessary. You will get burnt out unnecessarily. It is a skill issue and it’s a good thing. People should try other things than throw themselves on an exam whose job is not to select 15k students but to reject 1485000 students

Liked the counterintuitive thought

The thought that the kid added at the end of the timetable is banger
