Hey folks,
Need some honest advice.
I’ve got around 3+ years of experience working with Flutter. My current company is product-based — they hired me mainly to review Flutter code, suggest improvements, and write internal docs for cleaner structure and practices. Not much hands-on development.
They also sometimes give me random tasks like writing scripts in JS/Python to analyze Flutter apps. Because of that, I’ve picked up some JS/TS, Python, and a little React, not expert level, but I can get stuff done.
The weird part is, sometimes they don’t give me any tasks at all. I’ll ask for work, and they just ignore it. Meanwhile, some teammates are drowning in work, while I sit idle for days. When they do give tasks, it’s usually silly stuff like:
“Run this Flutter project, compare it with Figma, take screenshots, and list UI issues.”
Feels like I’m being underutilized big time.
And all this for just 6 LPA.
Is it possible to get a well-paying job in Flutter, or is the market just bad for it?
Should I think about switching my tech stack to something like full-stack or backend?
Do I need to focus on DSA to crack good companies even for Flutter roles?
How do I find companies that actually pay well and value experience like this
Would love to hear from folks who’ve been through similar situations or have cracked better roles. Any advice or pointers would mean a lot 🙏
