Do you use dairy alternatives instead of usual milk?
See a lot of my friends moving to plant-based diet foods / dairy alternatives. (none of them are lactose intolerant so they it is by choice) Wanted to understand from people here is they are using these as well and if they actually find it beneficial. If yes, pls also elaborate how it has helped you. Main reason for friends has been a better taste but I don’t find that argument convincing enough.

Take a look around - How many fat 70 year old do we see?, Atleast in cities one may find litlle higher proportion of old Fat people. But in villages and towns thats very less. They had just regular milk. Not these fancy almond milk, or donkey milk. They ate in moderation and didnt sit all day.
This whole plant based/ vegan/ nonsense is imported woke BS. This is highly concentrated among NRI/ onsite return/Tech crowd.

The TB epidemic in India is primarily because of unpasteurised milk consumed in T2/3 cities and villages.
Still continues.
Must have milk if you can digest it, but pasteurised.

Unpasteurised milk is the gold standard my friend. You are killing most of the nutrition when you pasteurise the milk only to increase the shelf value

Shifted to Gluten free milk. I’m not lactose intolerant but did realize it makes my stomach slightly weird no, idk why.
Gluten free milk works wonders

what is gluten free milk? can you share some examples? or can i see the product

Ay sorry I am half asleep in the morning haha Lactose free milk I meant *

I have a ethical milking farm which delivers to my home
- Feed calf with 2 parts/1for elder cows before milking
- Does not stray an old cow
- Does not stray/sell bull
- Feed the cows with high quality fodder including vegetables
Quality is very different than commercial dairy we have today.
Cost is Rs. 110/l and milk comes raw - need to boil immediately

i want to shift to other milk but don't see any better alternatives.. so +++ to the question

But there are a lot of alternatives available now - so many actually that it is confusing which one might be good. I had heard of almond milk or oat milk earlier but now there is also camel milk which made me ask this

Also why do you want to shift to other milk options? Are you facing any issues with the normal milk?

The biggest misnomer is Almond Milk. There is no real reason to call it milk.
Nut Juice is more apt, but likely not very appealing to consumers.

Where is the option "Milk is for babies"

I am lactose intolerant but I can drink milk. It causes bloating and stomach pain though. I can't eat curd or buttermilk at all, I will vomit on the spot. But if these are processed in preparing other recipes I can eat them just fine.

One of my friend moved to almond milk as her dermatologist recommended to stay away from the normal milk due to the hormones injected in the cows, which in turn end up in us as well as can cause hormonal imbalance in some people
