We dont really need population control rn. India's fertility rate (2.0) is now below the replacement levels (2.1) so the population growth will definitely stagnant and can even decrease in future.

It's already in decline. In selected urban metros, the fertility rate is completely in collapse. We recently went below replacement and the decline is not slowing down.
