Capgemini retention
I have an offer for 20.2 fixed and 0-27% variable with Accenture .
Capgemini Hr said they would retain me with 22 ctc stating the offer in mail without revised offer letter .Hr said it would reflect in next pay cycle effective from april 1 Anyone has experience with capgemini retention ?

Pls be careful. Just ask for offer letter first. It happened to me in capgemini where i had formal mail confirmation regarding the revised ctc and i have taken my papers back but weeks later they said we cannot give it in this cycle and then it moved to next cycle and then again it moved to next cycle . They keep saying that policies has changed will try in next cycle.Lastly it took 6months to me to get actual revised ctc that to after some very harsh mails tagging whole management. I won’t say every hr will be like that but it happened in my case.

Thank you for ur feedback. I had this doubt when hr said they can’t release revised offer letter , but can send only formal mail

Though they send mail sometimes they will play these tricks . So just be careful

In my case, retention and pay hike happened successfully with Capgemini. They had also not sent anything official, and only given confirmation over MS Teams (Skype).
Accenture has up or out policy and bench policies of Accenture are stricter than Capgemini. So, please make an informed decision.

Thanks for ur feedback :)

What were the factors @GlossyAnklet56 for CG retention.I guess now you are Accenture

27% variable on 20 fixed is much better than 22 ctc. Just switch.

Thanks for ur feedback.

when they hired employees from outside of the company at that time candidate get revised letter overnight however for in-house employees they have different rules. Please take decisions wisely.

Sure . Thanks for ur feedback 👍🏻

Get a mail confirmation from them, letter might take some time. Ask them if 22lpa is totally fixed or fixed+variable+retention bonus. I got cheated in this way. Still got the letter though. If you didn't get the letter, it won't be reflected in next pay cycle.

Thank you for ur feedback . Did you get the letter before 90 days of notice and got ur salary revised in notice period itself ?

Basic rule of money - Money today is better (has more value) than money Tomorrow..... something to think about

Get the revised offer letter first with applicable date of 1st April. Do not settle for anything else they say.

Be careful and like everyone else will tell you "get all the promises from HR in writing". I had been retained by Capgemini back in 2015 that time I asked for a revised offer letter which they had given me that time saying it would be effective from so & so date. So get the revised offer letter before withdrawing your resignation.

Hr said they can’t provide revised offer but can send a mail with details. So was confused and Capgemini had 12 days wfo
Accenture has only 4
