Background verification

I have mentioned an internship in my resume which was conducted by my college during the degree.

I have only start date certificate No pf, no end date

Now the company is asking for the last 2 employer start and end date and it's pf statement.

Will my background verification fail. And I need to resign?

Please help me out!!!! Please reply ASAP
