Are Web3 Remote Devs underpaid in India?
I work at a Web3 company, with an in-hand of $85K annually, but I feel my coworkers earn way more. I am a fresher out of college, but I've been dabbling with Web2 for 4 years, and Web3 for 2 years. Just wanted to know if the salary is unjustified or not.

Why do you expect to be paid 6 figure $ salary sitting in India with only 0 YOE?

I'm a lawyer, I work in the Web 3 industry
@RationalIndian is absolutely right
But also, in general, remote companies tend to "underpay" Indian and Asian employees in general, especially as compared to their European or American counterparts cause, obviously, cost of living difference
Also, also, can I send you my profile, I think your company should have a legal person on retainer :3

this question like most others on grapevine is either a flex or a larp

Really depends on the role and responsibilities tbh. Also what the company does.

Mostly token-gating and DAO governance and management solutions. And yeah, I'm a software engineer there

That's a pretty niche area, it's possible the company itself isn't making a lot of money in the first place.
And you're still making better than the average web2 developer according to your experience if I'm not wrong.

Isn't web 2-3-4-5-7-8-9 all dead ?

All quick money schemes died, solid foundations still surviving and bear markets are not new for these folks
How do they pay these grifters a lot of money then?

Bro, is that a joke? You’re being paid very well

I have seen folks in polygon draw upto half a million with lesser experience :p

Did you consider purchase power parity when trying to compare your “underpaid” salary numbers with your fellows living in the west.

@sudo_whoami I really want to get into web 3 bt have no idea where to start.. any leads will be appreciated?
