Works never seems to end and there are hardly any boundaries left. Unless you are in management, it’s super difficult to define and maintain boundaries. How have we come to this ? Isn’t technology supposed to make us all time-rich ?

Treating India as backoffice + nature of capitalism are main culprits here.

WLB is a myth for wage slaves. Companies with decent WLB are outliers. In india as a employee your time first belongs to the company. Not to mention the insane office politics that drives us to stay late. So 9 tp 5 is dead.
