Are computer scientist at Adobe real computer scientists?
I always come across these profiles and JDs which mention "Computer Scientist I/II" at Adobe. Are they real computer scientists? Do they invent things? Are they the ones working with NASA, MIT, STANFORD, Google Brain etc. I don't know if developing a framework qualifies you to call yourself a scientist. I don't know. Please shed some light.

PS: This is not a rant. A curiosity. I have heard stories (at investment firms) where they give you title raise instead of salary😂. Is it one of them?

Not sure but I think they are just SDEs focused on research and development

Nope. I asked one. He is a full stack dev. Working with React, typescript, Cassandra and taking care of commerce platform of adobe. I didn't ask him though why he called himself scientist. I didn't want to burst his bubble.

Not really lol just a term that adobe uses as a replacement for SWE, like some orgs use MTS and SMTS. They're all SWEs

Damn never heard of this term at all. Sounds a bit made up. Happy to be proven wrong

Hope it helps.
