Appreciating others in teams
Appreciating others in teams and receiving appreciation is the way to build trust in teams.
What do you think is the biggest hindrance towards appreciating others?

No hindrance. It's your ability to not expect that others will do the same

Agree. What made you develop this unique trait ?

I realised I don't need external validation. I enjoy doing what I do, irrespective of whether others feel like complimenting or not.
And honestly, I love the most when something is showcased and people point out whats wrong from their point of view. It helps me think that there are things which I can improve upon. That sort of feedback is so fun to improve upon!

You appreciate others. They don't return it. Only their visibility increases, even if you are also doing good work. They get the promotion, you don't.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts.
Curious to know:
Have you ever had a team member who reciprocated with appreciation?
Do you think everyone of them thinks the same and could it be leading to lack of collaboration?

- I appreciate people only over emails. Out of compulsion.
- Not everyone is the same in any aspect of life, but it is always hard to determine someone's true intentions. Imma sceptic, you see.
