Anyone else worried about hidden deficiencies with this lifestyle?

Most of us sit 8–10 hours a day, barely get sunlight, eat mostly home-cooked veg food.

Lately I’ve been wondering whether this kind of lifestyle slowly leads to deficiencies that we don’t immediately notice things like low energy, poor focus, or weaker immunity. Especially on Vitamin B12, Vitamin D, Omega-3 etc. I found im low on B12 & D. I started taking suppl. as prescribed though.

Not from a quick fix perspective, but from a sustainability angle are we unknowingly running low on essential stuff like B12, D, or Omega-3?

Would be interesting to hear how others are thinking about this diet-first, supplementation, or a mix of both.

Yeah man I did the same test on amd a half month ago. I was deficient in Zinc B12 and D which also making me anemic at the same time (low hemoglobin and Iron deficiency). Just going to be brutal and as straightforward as possible. Indian diet is not as macro nutrient dense as compared to other diets. All most all deficiencies can be cured just by replacing half your diet with dairy amd non veg food like fish and chicken. Usually dairy products are extreamly nutrient dence. To cover the same profile a vegan peraon needs to eat like 50 things amd add supplements just so that the dont get sick of deficiency. Add to that huge amounts of carbs we consume.

There was a reason government used to show adds portraying Sachin Tendulkar saying " Sunday ho ya Monday Roz Khao Ande"

Correct. Its the pain to be a pure veg. And as u said even if u hve options they are calorie rich.

True but funny thing: I found that Banana peel has vitamin B12 and B6.. but I dont feel like eating that in any way.

After the report I got to know that I'm having vitamin B and Vitamin D and HB deficiency...The doctor told me to eat one egg daily ,fish ,chicken , all vegetables, milk products ...and started 3 Month vitamin medicine

Take care. You should ensure to do stretching everyday to avoid stiffness and walk sometimes if not HIITs.

I took B12 injections and after the course, I felt better and mind was sharper over the course of next 2-3 months.

These days, the lower and upper bound of the "healthy range" is f'ed up. This is true for all the metrics, not just B12. Dont trust them.
