17th May Update
Hey folks, your favourite office manager here! I wanted to share a few small updates:
- ‘You’ Tab: Look to the bottom right of the app and you will now see the ‘You’ tab. This is your PRIVATE home for all your profile info, your past comments, past posts and bookmarks.
Please note: This tab is ONLY visible to you. No one can ever see your past comments/post history on Grapevine. Not even if they ‘Search’ for your user name. Privacy is always a top priority here 🤐
Also try: Changing your user name to something cool like ‘TheExterminator’ and stop being something lame like ‘AverageJoe’

There have been minor bug fixes and small improvements here and there

If you continue to face the Undefined bug error. The only solution so far is to reinstall the app. I know this isn’t ideal, but it is what it is :/
As always - keep throwing new ideas at us and we’ll try to build everything we can
Lastly, something a lot of you have asked for is launching later this week - something we’ve worked on 8+ weeks to build 😇
@Micheal_Scott - I gave a suggestion where the original post should be freezed so that user doesn't have to come at the top to read long post as the content is lost while reading the comments. Will be quite helpful

While super fun, we need to build more trust/verification into Grapevine before we can do something like that

Also, is it the messaging option that's up for launch?
We definitely need something to handle the salary related question, company reviews, or others which are posted in multiple channels

No messaging is not the feature launching this week :/ We have it half ready since some time but are still thinking of the exact UI due to spam/bullying/abuse issues with this being an anonymous platform
The multiple post problem is being worked on.

Need a way to select and copy text. Very much needed. Especially because the edit option is not available, I have to delete and rewrite a post if there is error and it's not at all possible to copy the content to clipboard before deleting.
OnePlus phone- maybe that's the reason but still a copy/edit option is required

Another one that we might need is to hide a post. For eg, I login and see some weird salary post again. So I skip it. But when I close and reopen app, that post would still come on top. So it's a requirement to have a hide option for a post
Just a suggestion - Maybe add a "view results" toggle to all polls?
Feel like either a lot of people manually add 🍿 anyways or people just pick a random option to see results.
