Rant/thoughts: life right now
Not sure how to say this, but I feel lonely or empty and have been feeling this for a long time now. may be more than a year. Life used to be fun when I was in school or college, can't pinpoint what it was that made it good. but now since I entered corporate world life seems monotonous. I have a stable job, good salary, and a comfortable life, but I still feel empty. There is nothing to be excited about or look forward to anymore. Everyday is the same as yesterday was. same work, same people. It is not like I don't try to have fun, I go out for movies, travel once a month. But all those seem short term solutions for this issue. I thought maybe companionship is what I need. So I tried dating apps. I got good number of matches, but for one reason or another, things never led to meetings these girls in real life. Have you ever experienced this at some point in life? would love to hear what you did to overcome such feelings.
Marriage pressure
I'm 27M and now my parents have increased pressuring me to get married saying that it's getting late. My usual excuse of there's atleast 2 more years left for me isn't working anymore. They've started sending me photos of girls with biodata and expect me to create one for myself so that they can forward it here and there. Their usual argument is that if the girl is good then what's the problem.....and honestly I don't have a logical counter for that but deep within I do feel that I am not ready for marriage yet and something about me getting onboard with this whole idea feels slightly off even though I can't pinpoint it. Am I overthinking? Or am I correct? Is this even something that others go through as well?
