The Day Money Rained From My School Books šŸ˜‚

Just a middle-class kid who moved from a small school to a ā€œbig school.ā€ For me, even reaching school daily was a struggle. After a lot of requests, my parents somehow managed to buy me an old second-hand cycle for ₹500. It needed repairs, made weird sounds, and probably had more issues than me… but to me, it felt like a superbike. šŸ˜Ž New school. New cycle. New life. Everything felt exciting for a few months. Then slowly I started noticing something… After school, many classmates used to eat outside daily — puffs, samosas, Pepsi, ice creams, chats… full enjoyment. I used to just stand there watching like a wildlife documentary narrator. 😭 I knew my home situation, so I never asked for money. But one thing hurt me more than hunger… Since I never bought anything, many classmates wouldn’t even call me when they went out to eat. Outside school, I slowly became invisible. One day, temptation defeated values. šŸ˜… I quietly flipped my mother’s piggy bank and found one glorious ₹5 coin. That day? I was flying in the air. Post school, I ate like Ambani’s son. 🤣 Then it became a routine. Daily ₹5 mission successful. Meanwhile my cycle condition became worse day by day. Sometimes it broke down completely. Nobody was ready to give me a lift, so I upgraded my crime package… I started taking ₹10. ₹5 for snacks. ₹5 for the guy who dropped me near home. šŸš“šŸ˜‚ Then one dark day… No more coins in the piggy bank. Now my criminal mind evolved to notes. ₹50. ₹100. Suddenly I had more money than I knew what to do with. So naturally… I started giving treats to random classmates like some local don. 😭🤣 At one point, I stole all the money and hid it inside the binding covers of my school books. Perfect hiding place. Or so I thought. A few days later, my mom told my dad: ā€œLet’s buy him a better cycle. He struggles daily.ā€ Dad said: ā€œNot possible now.ā€ Mom proudly replied: ā€œI saved some money in my piggy bank. We’ll use that.ā€ That sentence still hurts me today. She broke the piggy bank… EMPTY. šŸ’” At home, investigation started immediately. And obviously, the most notorious kid in the house was me. ā€œWhere is the money?ā€ Oscar-level acting started from my side: ā€œWhat money? I don’t know anything.ā€ 😌 Didn’t work. Then came emotional dialogue, interrogation, and finally… premium quality beatings. 🤣 They searched my bag fully. Luckily they didn’t find the money. Inside, I was actually happy: ā€œAt least my money is safe.ā€ šŸ˜šŸ˜‚ But destiny had different plans. My dad got so angry that he threw my books into the air… And suddenly… The binding covers opened. Currency notes started falling from the sky in slow motion like a Bollywood climax scene. šŸ’øšŸ¤£ For 2 seconds, the whole house became a money-rain music video. Silence. Then my parents asked: ā€œWhy did you do this?ā€ And for the first time, I answered honestly: ā€œEveryone eats outside after school… I also wanted to feel included. You never gave me money.ā€ That moment changed something in them. From then on, every weekend my dad started giving me a little money. I would go buy snacks, bring them home, and proudly eat in front of him. ā¤ļø Maybe he feared I’d learn bad habits outside. Maybe he understood a child sometimes doesn’t want luxury… just the feeling of belonging. Years later, I stopped asking for money. But that incident taught me something powerful: Sometimes children don’t ask because they understand the family situation. But silence doesn’t mean they don’t have small wishes. Middle-class parents sacrifice silently. Middle-class kids also learn sacrifice silently. And somewhere between love, struggle, and misunderstandings… we all grow up. ā¤ļø
