What's the most bizarre or unhinged reason someone got fired?
Just curious. Feed is constantly spammed by the HR folks with their gyaans on empathy and positive work culture. Some are genuine to build good teams, that’s great. But I also feel some does it to mask their toxic environment (with their long posts about 'family' values) and to make people feel like getting to keep their job is the ultimate privilege that can happen to a corporate employee. What’s with too much romanticising the hustle culture? Just yesterday on Monday, a guy in my org was let go because he didn't use enough exclamation marks in his emails to leadership. They said it showed a 'lack of enthusiasm' and poor culture fit. Do organizations use these bizarre reasons to directly or indirectly create a culture of fear? Or do the managers get the sense of superiority and the euphoria kicked in after ruining someone's livelihood. Moreover, I don't understand how managers with less than 5 years experience immediately consider themselves as psychology experts just because they could read a book on leadership. I still think the real leaders are busy enough in solving actual problems and building stuffs. The other set of people are just trying to exercise control as much as possible with absurd PIP metrics and finding unhinged reasons to show people the door. I'm curious to see what would happen if the job market flips and employees hold the cards again. All these power tripping bosses would fold the next day like cheap lawn chairs.
Ppl have no idea wtf's going on!
Whereever i look i see relationships crumbling and mind you I'm not talking about personal relationships but human relationships in general.. Leaders have no clue where the f''' world is moving into and the sad part for thrm is they can only sit on sidelines and watch it unfold... Ppl's Consumption pattern has changed so f-king much that everyone is losing their minds.. Whether you talk about businesses...jobs...earlier ppl were running to start up something of their own but after seeing thr struggle ppl are flicking back to their jobs..which in turn are vanishing...leaders are foing random shit in the name of productivity and feature launch but they're all going in vain...its hard tbh..seeing ppl struggle...a reset of something is also on the cards to make the Consumption more predictible so that people can hoard wealth.. In the next 3-5 yrs we'll be seeing something so f-king awful that it haunts me at night sometimes.. You prepare yourself as you'll taking some very hard decisions...you'll need to consult to ppl you look up to...ppl will come fwd...it will become hard to hide but also easy to commit crime... Thinking is alll you'll be doing for quite some time..reflection would be needed..gaps would needed to be identified and solution needs to be shared.. Individual are consciously choosing alone time..for themselves..cutting themselves from rest of the world..its not them i blame..but the environment has gotten so rustic that i too rush to get me time.. I'm happy tho..as ppl would be experiencing what i have experienced in the last couple of yrs..it would be tough..you'll be questioning everything..but hold tight..there's always hope some light that will help you forget..euphoria quite a name it is.. No one would be able to hide behind masks anymore..it feels good tbh..knowing that this will be happening.. It will become hard..ppl will die..we'll watch..govt. will be blamed...ppl will push back they'll come to realisation..in the end the cycle will restart... Shut eye!
