Dehradun Accident: This could have been the Pune Porsche case

Atul purchased an Innova on Dhanteras a few days ago. His friends asked for a treat, so they went out late at night, had some alcohol, and decided to go on a long drive. Around 2 a.m., a BMW passed their vehicle, and they started racing. Two of them were leaning out from the sunroof when the car collided with a container. The impact was so severe that onlookers described the car's metal on the container looked as if it was melted on the container. Two of the passengers’ heads were found meters away from their bodies. One body was shattered, and tragically, all of them died, one battling for life. When the police called the parents, they insisted their kids were sleeping at home, unaware that they had gone out to a party. All of them were between 19 and 25 years old, pursuing MCom and BCA degrees from Graphic Era, and most were single children of their parents. Tragic incident from Dehradun. Saw the video on X and it is crazy how a Toyota was completely totalled. They must’ve have been easily 130+ kmph. For sure. Don’t look for aftermath video. It’s too much gore. The only respite is that an innocent pedestrian or vehicle didn’t get crashed into like the Pune case. Drinking and driving is not safe. Know of someone from school who passed away over speeding in his bike.

Learning to Drive Again in Bangalore - Need Advice!

Hey folks, I got my 4-wheeler driving license during the pandemic when I was in college, but I barely touched a car after that since I was busy with work and moving out. Now that I’m back in Bangalore, I finally decided to get serious about driving and enrolled in a driving class nearby. It’s been about a week, and I know the basics—gear shifting, clutch control, and turns—but I still don’t feel confident enough to drive on my own. One of the biggest issues is that my instructor handles half the work with the clutch and brake, so I don’t get a real feel for full control. I’ve taken10 classes (₹5,000 total). Now I’m wondering—should I renew for another 10 classes to get more practice from the learner's car, or should I just start driving my family car? The only problem is my family car is an Innova, while I’ve been learning on a Swift Dzire—big difference in size, and I’m worried I’ll struggle even more. Some of My Fears While Driving: 1. 🚗 Bumper-to-bumper traffic: I panic about quick reactions in slow-moving traffic. 2. ⚠️ Stalling in traffic: This happened quite a few times on the main road when I was shifting gears, and it was stressful! 3. 🔄 Reversing & Parking: I can’t judge distances well from inside the car, unlike a 2-wheeler. 4. �Spatial awareness: On a bike, you can see everything around you. In a car, I feel like I have no idea how far objects actually are. For those of you who were in a similar situation, how did you get over this hump? Did you take extra classes, or just practice on your own? How long did it take you to feel comfortable driving solo in Bangalore traffic? Any tips would be super helpful! Thanks in advance! 🙏
