Hi folks, I actually need help. 🥺 I am in a very tough situation due to this. I have been an average student throughout my schooling and I did not study in college as well. I had multiple backlogs in college. After that somehow TCS hired me and I was put into support project. I still did not study or develop any projects and wasted 3 years there. Then I switched to devops role but it was still all operations. I learned some things but I was never into development. I have now wasted 6+ years doing the same. Operations and support. From my heart i always wanted to do development in my heart but I think now time has gone. I am feeling very sad and depressed about my career! 🥺 I want to restart my career into python and data science but then I will have to start from fresher level if I want to move to development. Now also I have more family responsibilities. Please suggest how do I come out of this.
Tech stack change
I'm working in service based company in worst tech (acc to me ). There are not enough projects still they hire so many freshers . Current now I'm 1 year 3 months exp I'm doing self study of data engineer and done some decent project . Should I plan for internal switch or look for outside opportunities. Will I get atleast mid senior role outside?(im planning after 2 years exp) I don't wanna start again in entry level. What checklist should I follow to successful switch. I didn't get any hike for my first year( that's y I'm planning all this) I respect every advice and criticism in my plan Thanks in advance.
