A Sundar Sunday

The day was starting with a cold breeze after the soothing rains which got the temperature dipped to ~11°C. Fitness hustlers and morning people getting ready for the street walks and jogging in sweatshirts. Few also took their dogs along. There wasn't much of birds chirping, but found some parrots and few colourful birds when the 9 AM sun was shining with rays in between the buildings. The sky was pretty clear, notification popped up for a sunny day. A speed breaker for weekday chores. Terrace was today's spot. 11 AM, people were hanging their clothes to dry in the sun, a grandfather was reading his newspaper in his garden. House-help mopping floors of balcony, a couple having coffee/tea, a kid playing with his Labrador. Another one, loving with side hugs in the sun. Vegetable vendors minding their business on the streets. Women bargaining them. Observing the clouds move, like a curious child. Eagles flying high in the sky, birds moving in groups. Easy to identify skyscrapers 10-15 kms away with a minimum haze. Good dose of Vitamin D for today. Looked out for the trees, well, there are very few to identify with colourful 🌺 Glad, didn't find anyone using mobiles while consuming some Vitamin D. Plus no smoking. A Sundar Sunday after a breezy Saturday.

American Eagle - laal chochla

I just want to say it - We don’t hate the ad. We hate that biology didn’t cast us in it. If American Eagle really wanted chaos, they’d have put a bald Asian dad in cargo shorts selling skinny jeans to suburban blondes. Or maybe a raccoon in a crop top. Something that actually challenges the species. a blonde woman to sell jeans is not oppression. It’s supply and demand. You can’t be mad at McDonald’s for selling fries to people already holding ketchup packets You seen men reacting on ads. No right? Men see the ad and skip. Maybe blink twice. Trans folks? Busy living life. They’ll buy the jeans if they fit Gay men? Only pausing to ask why the lighting sucks Straight dudes? “Damn. 75% off. Let’s go.” You get the drift. Newsflash: Ads don’t care. They sell. The rest is your reflection fighting you in the glass window of American Eagle Stop being so sensitive. Am not complaining. Also am an average Indian with LinkedIn and grapevine access, my jeans are either 799 from Flipkart or whatever my mom grabbed from Big Bazaar. American Eagle could put a giraffe in jeggings - I still wouldn’t care. Or should I?? TBH - I will wear whatever that doesn’t rip when I squat.
