How to cope up with the feelin of going back to hometown and earning less?
Need suggestions. Earning 21lpa with 10yoe in .net. (Cognizant). Last year moved from Tier 2 city to Pune. Current status: Have only 12lacs in savings. Rest 2lacs in mutual fund. I am 34 and tired of this fast paced life. Since last year extreme stress and hair loss (baldness). Had family and office problems. Thinking of going back to my hometown with less salary. But we have less opportunity at home town. Anybody felt same? How did you cope up with that feeling? Anybody facing same? How did you cope up with this things.
Fitness isn’t piece of cake.
Hi everyone, I’m a 28-year-old male with over 5 years of experience, currently working at a large MNC product company.. I’m earning 24 LPA and living a decent life here. I’ve been actively trying to fix my physical health, mainly because sitting 8 hours a day at my org is taking a toll. Just this past Thursday, my back gave out so it’s either I fix my posture myself or give up on having a pain free spine altogether. And honestly, this seems to be the story for many of us. If not lower back pain, then neck stiffness becomes the issue. If not neck stiffness, then weight gain. And if everything else is fine, lethargy becomes the problem. Why do our bodies give up so fast? What exactly are we working for? My own routine used to had some gym time, but now I'm just drained. Still, every other colleague seems to have a predefined fitness checklist. If yoga works, great. If not, it’s “next!” Everyone says they want to get “healthy” but no one seems to know what that “healthy” lifestyle should actually be. hope anyone reading this can share their experiences?
K shaped salary growth in IT
While indian big 5 IT companies are postponing the hikes or laying off the employees, Meta is being being accused of hiring ppl with expertise in AI at whopping $100M joining bonus(around Rs800cr joining bonus) Till almost 1 decade ago, IT was ticket to a stable middle class life. You start with atleast 3L/annum. Eventually getting promoted & Over the period of time not much difference between salaries. But seems that, it is changing fast. If you are top 0.1% of the industry, you can command Rs.800cr. if you are 1% you can switch easily & can ask 2-3X hike. if you are top 10% you can still switch but can expect 30-40% hikes. Rest 90% of IT ppl with average skills will end up struggling with mere 5% salary hikes, late promotions & struggling to manage budgets every month. IT is no longer ticket to stable life & money is not guaranteed unless you are top 10%.
