Writing this here, before I decide to go
I spent my whole life in comparisons. I don't work hard enough. I am tired after my job. I barely gym 3 times a week. I lost JEE, landed a tier 2 CSE College, could have opted for tier 1, but no, I was blindfolded by my own ideas. College was a poison, and tbh, I didn't worked hard enough, No Friends, rarely visited home because it was way more toxic. In my whole life of 24 Years, I was always rejected, of course I could have worked more on gym, and my personality. But yeah, I thought giving everything to career, was necessary. I failed. 11 days to my birthday, currently 23, sigh.. It's been 2 months, my brain has given up, I don't want to wake up, I just want to leave soon. I am alone, far away from home. I seek love, even though I don't love myself, just full of disgust the moment I look myself. I just wish, I don't take this step, and I see a light through this. This is a never ending puzzle.
<Rant on Bewakoof.com> Employees got nothing for their ESOPs
So Bewakoof got acquired by Aditya Birla group and sent a mail to employees that their ESOPs are now worthless “as determined by the board.” I mean, I know what they’re doing is completely legal, they must have covered themselves with escape clauses, but how are founders okay with this? They basically ripped off and wiped off the wealth of the very employees that worked for them for years. Shameful, man! Never buying from this shit company again. Not that it will matter, but won’t give a penny to this hideous organization.
What the heck is going on with Cognizant's Hiring Process?!!
I was contacted by HR and was interviewed for a L1 position in marketing/branding. I have a decent experience of 2 years with big brands + 1 year of freelance work. Here is the problem. During the hiring process I was asked about my current CTC and Expected CTC at almost every call that I had. I told them my expectations right away and quite clearly. 5.5 to 8.5 lpa They seemed okay and I sent the documents when asked. The documentation round seemed completed. Thereafter I get a call from HR that they can give just a 20% hike on my current CTC and not the package that was expected. I mean, why waste someone's time and effort if you cannot match the ask and you already know that. They gave me a reason that every other team member they are hiring for is somewhat of the same years of experience and they cannot justify my numbers. Does this happen a lot in these "Service based companies"?
