Zero road sense Zombies

What's with this increasing number of people getting obsessed with watching content on their smartphones while driving on the road ? I'm seeing more and more people on BLR roads doing this, like it's the last day of their life and if they don't watch it while driving, something bad is gonna happen to them. Just why ? Why risk yourself and others around you with that distraction ? If driving to your destination is so damn boring, why drive ? Take a cab or some other form of road transportation to reach your destination. We already have chapri Ola's on road, driving with loud music. We don't need more competition on the road. Please 🙂. P.S. a guy crashed into my bike from behind while I was standing at a signal, as he was into some TV show that he was watching on his phone. He had his child in the back seat. He looked like an educated professional, in their 30s, but has this careless chapri habits sadly. Not good people. Not good.

something people rarely admit - Social proof runs the hiring market

Yep. Let that sink in for a bit. The "Open to Work" badge never got the respect it deserved. Facts as Facts. Some Recruiters & Hiring Managers saw it and thought.. - Nice - they're available : Lets capitalise - Okay - they're available : Lets see where they fit Others? They judged it. Hard. Period. Point is.. The moment you LOOK like you're struggling, people assume you are the problem. If you are at the end of the rope... No job in months. Savings running dry. Rejections piling up You need to signal to the market that you need a job NOW. What do you do? A "Desperate as Hell" badge? (clearly the "Open to Work" badge did not work) A cry-for-help LinkedIn post with CFBR comments? A profile banner that says "Will work for Food" or "fati padi hai.."? Guess what happens next?? You could be the most skilled candidate in the world or a rather decent one at your craft and domain, but if you are out here making public SOS signals.. People weirdly process them as.. - Wait… why hasn't anyone hired them yet? - Maybe they're not as good as they say - Why do they have to advertise it? Good people don't need to - They must be struggling if they're making it that obvious - If they were truly talented, they wouldn’t be in this position Now, instead of getting more interviews, you've tanked your own value Because hiring is NOT about who needs it the most It's about who looks like they DON'T need it at all Because in hiring, being too available makes you look LESS valuable You need a job - but you can’t look like you need one That's how messed up this game is If you're unemployed but confident? People are skeptical If you're unemployed and desperate? You're radioactive & a hot mess If you're still employed? Now... suddenly, everyone wants to talk You need to be desperate enough to keep applying, but not desperate enough that people can see it. You have to struggle in silence because the moment the market SEES you struggling, it assumes you are the problem Know why?? Because hiring is built on supply and demand, not fairness I'm saying it is what it is .. unfortunately. On the flip side, I know people who have been out of work for 8 months and still refuse to adjust. - I only want remote - I'm not taking a pay cut - I won't move domain let's get this straight - You're losing the game but refuse to change your playbook. You are drowning but won't grab onto anything that isn't their dream job. How smart 🤦‍♂️ Remember this : The system selectively rewards talent It rewards the people who know how to be wanted If you don't learn how to manufacture demand for yourself, you will always be at the mercy of those who do Now.. lets talk about badge color and badge ideas. Who's up?

Caution ⚠️ | Bangalore is about to fail

I've been living in Bangalore for six years, but today made me seriously question my sanity. This city, with all its quirks, tests your patience every single day. Here is what happened to me last month. I left for work at 8 AM that day thinking I'd beat the rush hour on **Outer Ring Road**. The corporate greed of building skyscrapers without improving the infrastructure has choked this city. By the time I hit the Silk Board signal, traffic was at a complete standstill. Not moving. Not inching. Just... nothing. After two hours, TWO HOURS, of crawling at 1 km/h, I just became very angry I noticed people cutting in through the small gaps. Bikers, autos, cars, trying to get the smallest fucking advantage on the road, everyone out for themselves. And guess what? My friends who had come to visit me from Chandigarh were phoning me that they will come from a cab but the cabbies were on another level, **Surge pricing** was through the roof, with Ola and Uber tripling their rates. Some drivers were even asking for extra cash and said they will cancel otherwise. I saw a guy on a Royal Enfield, revving his engine aggressively as if the sound alone could ease the traffic. But it didn’t help obviously. You see, nobody was willing to follow the rules, or God forbid, cooperate that day. In the end, Bangalore will collapse under the weight of its own unchecked growth. Mark my words.
