I recently got the opportunity for an interview and the JD clearly mentioned it was an entry level position (although i have experience but i am switching my job profile hence applied for entry level position), but the moment i was being interviewed by the panel they mentioned that they are looking for someone with experience in the same field related to job and i did told them that since i am switching my job profile to pursue my interest i have applied for an entry level position only and they were like yes but now that you have experience it could've been better to have someone with required experience. I told them I have a relevant set of skills and also have overall experience in related domain so for an entry level position it would be a great fit but they were not really happy.
