Struggling in WLB
Hi, I am struggling to balance between work and personal life.I am losing people from my life because of too much time I have to give to work. I am not able to give time to my health or my parents.Tried multiple ways but not able to get out of this loop. Sometimes I skip meals too. I make to do list, I plan everything but nothing goes as per plan . A lot of adhoc urgent things come everyday, alot of people , a lot of pings sometimes I don't even get time to think just hoping from 1 meeting to another.I thought of changing my team but not even getting time to prepare.please help me to get out of this loop.
New Indian parents, What are your problems?
Everyone knows about the relatively young median age we have India. So consequently, we are going to be having a burst of newly weds and their subsequent kids. This would also be a generation where we see both parents working instead of one parent staying home(rent ain't cheap). So, few questions to new parents who are both working jobs: What were major problems/stressors you faced in early years of parenting ? (Specifically between 0-2 years of age where babies require alot of care) What parts of early years of parenting strained your work life the most? What parts of the early years of parenting gave you guys the most joy? Would love to know more.
Is it really worth it?
I am an intern at a Financial services firm, here i have a senior who has recently moved from Kolkata to Mumbai for this particular job, Here she is getting an amazing salary package as a fresher, but the environment here is really unhealthy, she and my senior (who's also my reporting manager) both of them are extremely overwhelmed with work ALL THE TIME! Here there is very poor internal communication and the work over here gets done according to the mood of the senior manager, and the senior manager can be extremely moody, she is sharp, intelligent and strategic but moody, so the person I am referring to the senior who has moved from Kolkata is going through ALOT! My question is, is it really worth it to put yourself through so much of misery, i know people have their priorities but I am curious to know people's opinions on this
