Signs of layoffs because of AI and how to prepare for it in Big 4? 😱

I am an entry level analyst in at Deloitte. Just wondering if these are some signs of a practice not doing great + potential layoffs in a few months/year. 1. Utilization: ~45% last quarter. They originally said that it was a slow start to the year with low CapEx by companies but we still don't look good this quarter now. There was a small call last night between a few people in this project level meeting and the senior management straight up said "Their is no demand and people are still on bench. We need to reallocate some headcount" 2. Headcount growth - Last 1.5 years ago, every month we had 10-15 people join our practice, This has literally gone down to 1-2 hires to replace people who have left. 3. Resignations: 6-7 people are leaving every month in my practice, which is quite harsh. Someone told me that everyone they used to work with when they joined have already left. 4. AI-pocalypse - I feel most companies think that they can now do AI inhouse and niche projects but higher costs because of MS/PhD folks working on it is something they dont want to go for anymore. If a layoff is incoming, what would be the best ways to prep? I see two options: 1. Getting on a boring sad project but long term. 2. Do nothing: I am literally the cheapest resource in the company so they would ideally layoff senior folks first, right??

Honestly, I joined Hero Vired’s Certificate Program in Data Analytics because I was tired of constantly second-guessing myself at work. Excel formulas, dashboards, data cleaning I was truly fed up with these. So, this program truly made things easy for me. The instructors actually broke things down in a way that made sense without sounding robotic. Practising in a safe, guided environment helped me actually retain stuff instead of pretending to understand during meetings. Now I can pull reports, clean up datasets, and even build dashboards without spiralling. I will say not a miracle, just good teaching.

I puked all over my laptop because of my boss...

I had too much to drink on Thursday and it was such an embarrassing experience for me. I ended up going out with my friends and I had 2 Bro Codes and 1 LIIT. I was literally fucked up and went home very late. This made me wake up a little late and I got late for a meeting. My manager got angry and asked me to work longer on Friday. I was like, I am feeling very sick please let me go home. He denied my request. That day I puked so hard where I was sitting. I accidentally puked all over my company laptop and my desk. Literally, it was projectile vomiting. I had not consumed my breakfast and I fainted right there. When I woke up, my super boss asked me, why did you not go home. And I told him that my manager did not allow me to and he is forcing me to work this hard and that I will complain to HR about this harassment. The super boss got concerned and thrashed my manager. I am hearing that my manager has been reported to be very toxic by other people here as well. So, good to know that action will be taken against him.
