TAL's take
Generic role definition for an unknown company; provides basic functional responsibilities but lacks organizational scale or depth.
The JD is clear on the testing function but lists a broad combination of titles (QA Automation/Junior/Analyst) which creates ambiguity regarding the seniority and specific automation requirements.

- Familiarity with software testing methodologies and QA processes
- Understanding of APIs and databases
- Understanding of web and mobile application testing
- Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail
- Ability to troubleshoot issues and communicate findings clearly
Tools and skills
Nice to have: selenium, cypress, playwright.
About the company
Unfamiliar company in the niche summit/events space, defaulting to mid-tier.

π The Harsh & Drastic Impact of Social Media on Youth β A Wake-up Call from Nepalβs Experience
In just a decade, social media applications have gone from being βoptional toolsβ to becoming an inseparable part of our daily lives. While they bring convenience, connectivity, and opportunities, we must pause and reflect on their unintended consequences, especially on our youth. Take Nepal as an example β a nation where once social interaction was deeply rooted in people, now faces challenges of excessive digital consumption. Itβs as if small children, once taught moderation in sweets, are now exposed to unlimited access without boundaries. π± These apps β mostly originating from one republic β are designed to maximize engagement, often ignoring the fine balance between utility and addiction. Recent social media polls and public confessions reveal alarming trends: π Sharemarket sluggishness over the past year π π Gold prices skyrocketing π π Unprecedented geopolitical tensions π π Inflation reaching concerning levels π According to popular media discourse, a single individual is often blamed for economic woes globally, yet paradoxically, that same individual and close associates seem to amass considerable wealth during these turbulent times. π€ Regardless of political stance, it is important to recognize that social media is not inherently bad. Like any tool, it depends on how we use it. However, awareness is key. Let us encourage mindful consumption, critical thinking, and a culture of moderation β especially among the younger generation. β³ Approx. 3 more years of critical global shifts lie ahead. It is our collective responsibility β as professionals, educators, and parents β to help navigate this path wisely. #DigitalAwareness #SocialMediaImpact #YouthResponsibility #Nepal #EconomicTrends #MindfulUse #LinkedInInsights

Layoffs - A complete mess made by the companies
From the last few days there were talks going on about layoffs in Morgan Stanley. Some 7% of the global staff will be handed over the pink slip in this week. Well... It started happening from today ... Few colleagues from my department were laid, and the reason being "company is trying to survive in the market, company is planning the road ahead by taking such bold steps". When this was announced, my anxiety shot up the next level and I couldn't wait for the meeting to finish. The past few years have not been great for the business worldwide due to which many companies are forced to take such steps. These companies just have been doing a hiring spree from the last 1-2 years that now they are regretting their decisions and letting off their employees. My question is - "If a company hires excessively during the bull market and is forced to lay off few of the employees during the downturn, has the company made an error by not evaluating the headcount or it was just simply the need of the hour" Please note - I know many people out there who have faced job cuts due to many factors, sincerely requesting people to take this matter very seriously
