Microsoft - L61 | Hyderabad

Education: B.Tech Years of Experience: 4.1yrs Current Job: SDE2 at a good foodtech company Current Comp : 38L (31 fixed + PF) Base: 31L Tech stack: This is great - Golang, Java, AWS DDB, Microservices, API contracts, etc RSUs (yearly): 7L Location: WFH Benefits: Not many benefits - (No internet reimbursement, no OPD reimbursement, etc) Date of the Offer: Sept 2025 Company: Microsoft (Windows Team) Level: L61 Location: Hyderabad Tech stack: This is where I am a bit skeptical about - C++/C#, Windows Team. Microsoft comp: Base: 32L (Includes fixed pay + company's PF contribution) Performance-based bonus: 0-20%; avg 10% Stock bonus: $80K vested 25% each year for 4 years (approx 17.57 lpa) Signing Bonus: 6L (1st year) Relocation bonus: Not yet disclosed, but will be given Total for 1st year: 55.5LPA + Relocation Interview rounds: R1: DSA R2: DSA + System Design (15-20 min) R3: DSA + System Design (40min) R4: Senior manager - culture fit + system design discussion + expectations Other details: Asked for L62, the recruiter said that the team has provided feedback for L61 only. No change in that. No other offers in hand. Need help with the following points: I was expecting L62 given my experience, current designation, and interview rounds performance, but I am being offered L61. I don't feel this transition from SDE2 to SE II/ L61 is fair enough(I have been in the SDE2 position for the past 2 years now). Should I consider L61? Also, does anyone have any idea regarding the Windows team at Microsoft Hyderabad? Salary: In terms of fixed pay, there is basically no jump (earlier -> 31LPA, offered -> 32LPA). But overall, there is a jump considering the stocks and joining. Work culture: Microsoft no doubt has top-notch employee benefits and culture. The current company I am working in is relatively new, the work is top-notch notch but WLB is not at all good. What do you guys think and your suggestions on these points? Edit: The reason I am seeking out is that in the current org, I am being asked if I am unable to meet the expectation(which is pretty high), and WLB is not good. I have been told about how PIP works in my review meeting, and I took that as a hint, although I haven't been put in PIP as of now.

What should I do in this Scenario?

1.5 yoe guy. So recently I interviewed for Cisco. I told them I do have an offer and the joining is on June 1 (tentative) and the CTC is around 15 LPA. So the HR expedited the processes. R1 - completed very positive feedback R2 within 5 days - same very positive feedback from HR R3 (Leadership) and this was a Telepresence Round and It was in a workspace and I went to the location for the interview. The feedback was fair. Like 3.5-4/5 (it was on May 4) So I have 2 HRs here that facilitated these rounds. Now I have followed up twice on 11th and 18th with HR(2). In the 11th may follow up, the HR pulled in another person (HR 1) for first 2 rounds (like someHR_Name++ this was the exact reply) After that there was no reply. No response nothing. Should I follow up once again next week? If I should, then should I again specifically mention that my other offer's joining date is June 1? Guidance is very much appreciated. Thank you.

Kindly share the SAP Technical/ABAP profile salary you are drawing with below details to understand the real Market value, this helps!

This thread should help Indian SAP Technical community folks to guage the true market value a SAP Technical consultant can claim for and it should help during job hunts and appraisals. For eg there was an instance where my experience was 9 years and the salary I was drawing was 10 lakhs thinking that itself is a very huge amount. That was the level of delusion circumstances had created for me. But be aware of one thing ask for a fat packages only if your skill-set is pretty broad either in Technical Terms or mix of Tech and Managing atleast for Indian market. So, here is mine(requesting everyone who wish to share in the below format, and add fields if required): As on 13 December 2024: 1.) Current Salary: 24 lpa fixed. (Variable 10%) 2.) Organization type: IT Services based. 3.) Years of Experience: 15 years 4.) Skills: Core ABAP (S4 and R3), ABAP on Cloud, RAP, OData, WebServices... 5.) Expected salary in future: 40 lpa 6.) Desired career track: Technical, Architectural roles. Note: I understood from my first Grapevine post that my salary is still not that great :)
