My experience with Coding ninjas MERN Stack Course
🚨 Coding Ninjas Placements Scam– A Cautionary Tale 🚨 In January 2023, I enrolled in a 9-month Bootcamp MERN Stack Development course with Coding Ninjas, investing ₹1.5 lakh (with education loan interest). I completed the course on time, but my experience has been nothing short of disappointing due to false promises and poor support. Here’s a breakdown of my journey: Issues with the Course Content 1️⃣ The course content wasn’t worth ₹1.5 lakh: – especially the Node.js and JavaScript lectures, which were outdated at the time when I joined. 2️⃣ Modules were excessively lengthy, making it difficult to complete them within the stipulated 9 months. False Promises During Admission: Coding Ninjas counselor Richard Daniel made promises that turned out to be deceptive: 1️⃣ Placement Support:– They claimed I’d get placement support after completing 3 skill tags (DSA, Frontend, React.js). Since January 2024, I’ve applied to 720+ companies through their portal, yet I rarely receive updates. Most replies are excuses like “process closed” or “no update from the hiring team.” 2️⃣ Minimum 8 LPA Job Promise:– They assured an 8 LPA fresher job post-course. However, most opportunities in their portal offer 3-4 LPA, not the promised 8 LPA. 3️⃣ Product-Based Companies’ Placements:– They marketed the course as a pathway to top product-based companies. The reality? No substantial internship or fresher job support. 4️⃣ Refund Guarantee:– I signed an agreement stating I’d get a refund if not placed within 21 months. Now that I’m eligible for a refund, they’ve stopped answering my calls and are making endless excuses. Impact on My Life: I even quit my job to focus on this course, trusting their promises. It turned out to be a terrible decision, wasting my time, money, and effort. I feel trapped by their fraudulent practices. Advice to Others: For those considering this program, especially if you come from a non-tech background like me, proceed with caution. There are free, high-quality resources on YouTube like Akshay Saini 🚀 that provide more value I watched his Namaste JavaScript series for interview preparation. Call to Action: As per the agreement, I’m eligible for a refund and demanding accountability from Coding Ninjas. To my fellow batchmates facing similar issues, I encourage you to share your experiences in the comments. Let’s make our voices heard and hold them accountable for their promises. It feels like a marketing company instead of an edtech.
Toxic startup
Company name - Chat360 It's pretty small and inconspicuous, but if I save even one person from joining this organisation, I will consider it worth it. Based on first hand accounts from 3 very reliable sources who are confirmed employees. A very basic chatbot platform, being marketed as a Gen AI first product. They don't even have basic NLP and claim to be Gen AI. The founder & ceo is completely directionless. This is his side hustle, but while interviewing new hires he claims that he is the full time CEO (this is not true, he is barely available and always busy in his main business which is a car dealership) The co-founder is an IIT-grad, and due to the Founder's absence is basically running the show though he has zero business acumen. He constantly bitches about the founder to senior employees. Of course, with such a toxic back story, it is hell to work here. No unity in the team, lot of back biting and bitching, public humiliation on WhatsApp groups, constant blame game. Basically, a shitshow. Do not, do not, do not join this place. Avoid it like the plague.
Will be a game changer…
… At probably 33-50% of the current marketed price 1000 - 1500 a month, especially for places / people fed up with poor Jio and no alternatives Not a bad proposition
