You'll be a good fit if you have
- 3 - 5 years of professional backend development experience, primarily in TypeScript/Node.js with meaningful Python exposure.
- Strong hands-on experience with NestJS or Express in production systems.
- In-depth working knowledge of AWS services (Lambda, ECS/EKS, S3, SQS, IAM, etc.); familiarity with GCP/Azure is a plus.
- Proven experience with multiple database paradigms: relational (PostgreSQL), NoSQL (DynamoDB), search (Elasticsearch), and analytical (Athena).
- Proficiency with Terraform, Docker, and Kubernetes within real deployment workflows.
- A strong security mindset with experience in secure coding practices, implementing authentication/authorization patterns, and managing data privacy.
- Familiarity with AI/ML concepts to integrate LLMs and design agentic workflows.
- A data-aware mindset with the ability to manage data pipelines, design schemas, and support lightweight data warehousing.
- A bias toward shipping fast, making pragmatic tradeoffs, and iterating quickly.
Key Responsibilities
- Own feature delivery end-to-end—from understanding product requirements to shipping user-facing functionality across interview, fraud, enrichment, and agentic products.
- Design, build, and maintain backend services using Node.js (NestJS/Express) and Python deployed on AWS.
- Develop and sustain APIs and microservices that power agentic workflows, voice systems, and AI-driven products.
- Collaborate closely with product teams to break down features into incremental deliverables, ship quickly, gather feedback, and iterate.
- Manage databases including PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, Elasticsearch, and Athena by writing efficient queries and overseeing schema designs.
- Write and maintain Terraform modules; leverage Docker and Kubernetes for containerized deployments.
- Ensure the code is secure and production-grade by implementing proper authentication patterns (OAuth/JWT/RBAC), input validation, secrets management, and OWASP best practices.
- Participate actively in code reviews, testing, and ensuring observability through logging, tracing, and alerting.
- Stay abreast of AI developments such as LLMs and agentic patterns, integrating emerging technologies into product development.
