Bukuwarung is an all-in-one financial app that helps Indonesian MSMEs digitize their bookkeeping and payments. The platform enables small business owners to track sales, manage credit, and accept digital payments seamlessly.
You'll be a good fit if you have
- Deep expertise in designing and scaling backend distributed systems with 8+ years of experience.
- Strong knowledge of consistency models, caching strategies, event-driven architecture, and fault tolerance.
- Proven experience in designing multi-region, high-transaction systems with a keen intuition for clean abstractions.
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS preferred), performance tuning, observability, and system reliability.
- A strong ownership mindset with the ability to drive decisions in ambiguous environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end design and architecture of scalable backend systems.
- Design and evolve core systems ensuring high availability, reliability, and minimal blast radius.
- Anticipate and solve scaling bottlenecks by implementing robust, distributed system designs.
- Collaborate closely with engineering leaders to set standards for system design, reviews, and long-term maintainability.
- Mentor engineers and elevate the technical bar across teams through hands-on leadership and technical influence.
