What is AppsForBharat?

AppsForBharat's flagship product, Sri Mandir, is a digital-first 'virtual temple' allowing users to book pujas and offer chadhavas remotely. The platform has built one of the largest verified devotional content libraries, featuring hymns, mantras, and personalized AI-led spiritual guidance.

You'll be a good fit if you have

  • 6+ years in backend development with expertise in Golang and Python.
  • Proven team management and results-driven over 2–3 appraisal cycles.
  • Extensive experience with high-scale systems (10K+ RPM) and B2C product delivery.
  • Deep technical skills in distributed systems, APIs, SQL/NoSQL databases on cloud platforms.
  • Focus on scalability, reliability, and high-quality coding practices.
  • Strong proponent of system observability, monitoring, and resilience.
  • Effective communicator and collaborator with stakeholders.
  • Passionate about refining engineering processes and driving innovation.
  • Bonus: Skills with Docker, Kubernetes, Prometheus, and Grafana.
  • Seeking growth in a supportive environment with competitive compensation and career advancement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee design and development of backend systems operating at 10K+ RPM scale.
  • Guide in building transactional systems (payments, orders) and behavioral systems (analytics, personalization).
  • Collaborate with product managers on scoping, prioritizing, and releasing B2C features.
  • Ensure best practices in architecture, code quality, and testing.
  • Own end-to-end project delivery focusing on scalability, reliability, and impact.
