You'll be a good fit if you have
- Deep mastery of cloud-native architecture, Kubernetes, and CDN optimization.
- A proven track record with 8 - 12+ years in professional engineering and at least 3 - 5 years leading large-scale organizations.
- Extensive experience with distributed systems, high-concurrency backends, and mobile-first consumer products.
- Expertise in performance engineering for mobile apps across fragmented device markets.
- Strong understanding of security practices, including encryption standards, OAuth, and adversarial attack vectors.
- Hands-on problem-solving ability to lead critical incident efforts and maintain developer efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and scale a multi-disciplinary organization encompassing Product Engineering, Platform, Site Reliability, and Infrastructure.
- Drive large-scale architectural shifts such as monolith to microservices or multi-cloud transitions while maintaining uninterrupted feature delivery.
- Optimize the platform for performance and high availability, ensuring robust fault tolerance and adherence to a 99.99% uptime mandate, even under challenging network conditions.
- Enforce a "Security by Design" approach and maintain strict PII governance to protect sensitive user data and comply with data privacy laws.
- Establish deep visibility into cloud spending and balance the demands of high-performance infrastructure with rigorous cost-control measures.
- Integrate AI agents and LLM-powered tools into the SDLC to automate testing, code reviews, and documentation, accelerating engineering velocity.
- Own the CI/CD pipeline, building a gold standard for automated testing and canary deployments to ensure rapid shipping without compromising platform integrity.
