What is Sarvam AI?
Sarvam is building a 'sovereign' full-stack AI for India, featuring 'Sarvam-1' (2B parameter Indic model) and 'Sarvam Edge' for on-device, offline processing. Their suite includes Bulbul (voice), Sarvam Vision (document intelligence), and Akshar, a workbench for high-precision knowledge extraction.
You'll be a good fit if you have
- Proven experience with reinforcement learning or large-scale data work.
- 2–10 years of experience in ML research or applied research, where depth of expertise matters more than tenure.
- A strong research background, evidenced by a PhD from a top institution or equivalent experience at a frontier lab.
- A hands-on approach, with a passion for building systems and shipping real-world solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Train bigger and better models, from developing robust data pipelines to managing distributed training at scale.
- Work on reinforcement learning, data curation, and both pre-training and post-training processes to drive impactful outcomes.
- Contribute across the full model development loop, ensuring high dataset quality, executing training runs efficiently, and iterating through evaluations for continuous improvement.
- Collaborate closely with systems and infrastructure engineers to push the limits of current computational possibilities.
