What is Sarvam AI?
Sarvam is building a 'sovereign' full-stack AI for India, featuring 'Sarvam-1' (2B parameter Indic model) and 'Sarvam Edge' for on-device, offline processing. Their suite includes Bulbul (voice), Sarvam Vision (document intelligence), and Akshar, a workbench for high-precision knowledge extraction.
You'll be a good fit if you have
- Expert proficiency in Go, Python, or Java with a strong coding background.
- Proven experience operating at scale—handling millions of concurrent users and petabyte-scale traffic.
- Hands-on SRE practice with experience in post-mortems, capacity planning, and building "defense-in-depth" reliability strategies.
- Advanced knowledge of Kubernetes, including custom controllers, operators, and performance tuning of CNI/CSI layers.
- Deep passion for reducing developer friction and creating tools that benefit a large engineering organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and build "Golden Paths" for developers by implementing automated CI/CD abstractions, self-service infrastructure provisioning, and integrated security scanning at the PR level.
- Own the reliability roadmap for a high-traffic ecosystem, implementing SLIs/SLOs, automated error budgeting, and advanced traffic engineering to ensure 99.99% availability during massive traffic spikes.
- Develop sophisticated, reusable infrastructure modules using Infrastructure as Code with tools like Pulumi, CDK, or languages such as Go and Python.
- Build a deep-telemetry stack with automated anomaly detection, distributed tracing (OpenTelemetry), and self-healing systems that preemptively resolve incidents.
- Architect multi-region, high-availability clusters on AWS/GCP using Kubernetes at scale, handling complex networking, service meshes (Istio/Linkerd), and stateful workloads.
