I hope they don't make it a super crowded app - I enjoy the simplicity of whatsapp right now

I know they're trying to innovate but maybe there isn't need to keep fixing something that isn't broken

They must have asked in a board meeting, what next feature to bring to the table. The VP product might have replied, i have another idea to monetize WhatsApp (other than wa business). Paid subscriptions to content creators. Tada. And this channel idea was born.

I think they are taking cue from so many companies creating paid group memberships to sell their content.

I feel it's time for private social network to start.

People will seek low noise to signal ratio networks now.

They've started already. Many popular women and models used to have their own apps for interacting with their audience directly and going live on video. Idk if it's still prevalent or not but it was big for a while.

What do you think of the move? Good move. Whatsapp is primarily used by baby boomers so they ll get the instagram flavour.

You r soon gonna get spammed. If you join the channel. 🤷‍♂️

Is this the end of whatsapp? What?

Workers gotta work. iMessage is more prevalent in US than whatsapp. So they wanna make moves to grow for the audience currently missing
