
Zomato CEO Forgoes Salary till FY26, Company Launches QIP
- Zomato CEO Deepinder Goyal has voluntarily waived his base salary of INR 3.5 Cr per annum till March 31, 2026.
- The company has launched its QIP to raise INR 8,500 Cr, with a floor price of INR 265.91 per share.
- Zomato also announced the closure of its operations in Qatar.

He will still earn dividend payouts from his shares which will be substantial, since he is a board member. CEOs letting go of their salary is not news and it's not certainly noble as media portrays it to be. They let go of their salary because their overall income tax liability will reduce. That's it. They are not doing it out of the purity of their heart.
