Gonna go down like Koo, Threads, Signal.. copycats seldom work. And quality trumps nationalism.

Seems like you have a limited view of Zoho. I worked there, and it’s an immensely profitable company. Most of its tooling is built in-house while it may not match today’s latest tech stacks, Zoho had these tools long before concepts like ORM became mainstream.
Contrary to popular belief, apps like Arattai and the broader Zoho suite aren’t their main revenue drivers. The real profits come from ManageEngine. Zoho’s core philosophy has always been about building for the long term investing in ideas that might not pay off immediately but will create sustained value over time.
They’ve been working on cloud solutions for over two decades, and those bets are paying off now. Initially, ManageEngine’s revenue funded Zoho’s app ecosystem, and today, Zoho’s success is fueling investments in deep tech initiatives.
Zoho isn’t chasing short-term profits from products like Arattai their B2B model is solid and continues to perform exceptionally well.
To give you perspective, ten years ago, my team’s per capita revenue was comparable to Google’s.
So, don’t underestimate Zoho too quickly there’s a strong chance that within the next decade, you’ll be using many of their products without even realizing it.

Kimbho, tooter, Koo, and now this. Remember how much the entire Govt supported Koo app? Everyone was like “I am on Koo, follow me”, and it went bust. Good things don’t require Govt’s forceful promotion.

Zoho par logo ko switch karke sabka data lenge aur pel denge kuch bhi bola BJP ke against agar. MC!
I've been using ZohoMail for almost 4 years now, and it is pretty good at what it does.

Well deserved. No other company can save our asses if the west decides to treat us like they have been treating Russia for the last few years.
Founder Shridhar Vembu is a lovely guy with quite a refreshingly original thought process in generally monotonous tech circles. Love following him on Twitter. Wish them all the success.
May Indian tech giants rise and shine in time ahead.
