Zerodha announces Return to Office

Kailash (Zerodha CTO) published a blog on Zerodha asking everyone to come back to office - https://zerodha.tech/blog/remoteness-of-remote-work/. Most companies have now gone back to office. Do people find work in office (hybrid or fulltime) to be productive? How can people convince orgs to be remote or how can companies better convince people to come back to office?

  • no.

How can people convince orgs to be remote

I think there is no way if orgs have made up their mind you will be just adding friction. But still can try.

how can companies better convince people to come back to office?

Starting hybrid and gradually shifting to full wfo.

Ps: I feel working from home more productive as it gives me flexiblity to adjust work hours. And i was able to allocate some free time if work finishes. But ours also shifted to WFO...🥲

Mostly orgs want WFO to decrease the attrition, or to pull work by employees

Is remote working still the preferred mode?

In the post Covid era when people are actually back to flooding offices and the highways are back to being jammed 24/7 and the elevator space is being hogged by everyone who has to get off before you, is remote still preferred?
