I have heard a lot of YT channels which got hijacked. They don't even need to hack into your account. Also even if you have tons of followers, YT customer service is not upto the mark.

Linus Tech Tips was one victim and he has detailed entire video on his experience.

But to pose this survey on YT to people who do not even have an active channel, is very plain Lazy YouTube.

I got it too and am confused as well. Tbh I didn't upload after 2017 as I didn't enjoy the editing process, so I don't really care about it now.
