You've lived most of your life working in corporate and living in tier 1 cities. You have a budget of 5 cr, which one would you choose ? And why ? Consider the facilities you'll get and sacrifices you'll have to make for each one

The people who selected farm house in small town, Have not lived in a small town or a farm house. Life in small town/villages are completely different from cities. Many people assume the towns are just small cities with less people. Truth is far different. There is whole set of problems that come from life in smaller towns. Which can be handled only if you have either family/friends who have lived in that area for long. This single criteria will limit ones' choice to just 1 or 2 towns/villages.

People who have spent majority of thier life in cities/ people who didn't not have thier parents/G.Parents in villages, cannot live in villages/small towns. once the novelty factor fades, they will yearn to get back to city.

Not sure if it's true for all but for sure I've seen such cases where people fancies living in small towns but when they do they start criticising the small inconvenience like no blinkit

You are forgetting that maybe a lot more folks can go back to their kins and parents in a town. I would hypothesize that there are more immigrants to metros from small towns and inferior cities than literal villages.

Do note that >50% people in gv are in 20s, and I think 99.99% will be <60

I know, it's just a hypothetical scenario to understand how the majority thinks, I'm not 60 either.

If the budget is greater than 10 crores, then only consider tier 1 cities; otherwise, prefer tier 3 cities.
