Every coin has two sides. So as Ravan,

Sugreeva's wife was also abducted. There's no justification for adharma, his side of coin face has all evil deeds no matter how brilliant he's or good with his ppl.
This logic is used by islamic terrorist organisations that they're doing Jihad

Ravan was not evil. He just tried taking revenge for his sister. And it just happened that he ended up messing with someone more powerful than him.

Lakshman disfigured surpanaka. If what ravan did was wrong,; what lakshman did was also wrong. From the days of treta yuga, history is always written by winners. Ram became the hero and Ravan became the villain.

On hind sight, looks like villainizing Brahmins seems to be acceptable from treta yuga.

U know right he was a rapist ?, he jailed the demigods, interfering in the normal functioning of the universe. U know right what surpanakha did ? Laxman warned her multiple times. Even if we assumed he wanted revenge for his sister then he would have taken it with Laxman. It was his evil intentions that he did those sins.
And ur audacity to defend the kidnap of someone's wife is commendable. Even today's gangsters don't go after families. It was treta yug whr varna system was used not British colonial period caste system. WITH GREAT POWER COMES GREAT RESPONSIBILITY whr Ravan failed.
He planned the kidnap so using word ' it just happened ' is not justified. That was treta yug where paap was considered to be 25% taking this into account consider how big a crime he had committed

Ravana was one of the greatest devotees of Lord Shiva and was highly knowledgeable in his time. Certain yajnas were believed to be incomplete without his involvement. However, with great power comes great responsibility. When individuals gain power, they can sometimes change—and Ravana was no exception.
